  • Notify us immediately at support@accountee.ie if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Accountee for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Irish or EU law
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or other harmful software
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or the underlying infrastructure

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without our prior written consent

5. Subscription and billing

Accountee may offer free and paid subscription tiers. Paid features are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Prices are displayed in EUR and include VAT where applicable.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
  • Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods, except where required by Irish consumer law.

6. Your data

You retain ownership of all financial and business data you enter into Accountee. We process this data solely to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that any data you upload or process through Accountee complies with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.

7. Tax and financial advice disclaimer

Accountee is a software tool, not a licensed accountancy or tax advisory service. The VAT calculations, tax estimates, and financial summaries generated by the platform are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional tax or financial advice. You should consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser for guidance specific to your circumstances. We accept no liability for errors in tax filings or financial decisions made based on data generated by Accountee.

8. Intellectual property

All software, designs, trade marks, and content forming part of the Accountee platform are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by Irish and EU intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trade marks or branding.

9. Availability and modifications

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the service itself at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable. We will make reasonable efforts to export your data if we discontinue the service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, Accountee and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Accountee and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the service.

12. Accountant access

If you share your Accountee data with an accountant using the accountant access feature, you are responsible for ensuring that such sharing complies with any confidentiality obligations you may have. We are not responsible for actions taken by accountants who access your data with your authorisation.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases; your data will be retained for the period described in our Privacy Policy and then deleted.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under EU law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of Accountee after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
